Russell Leslie Retires After 35 Years

Sunroc is pleased to announce a series of leadership transitions following the retirement of Russell Leslie, Vice President of Construction Materials, who has worked within the Clyde Companies family of businesses for 35 years.

Russell began at sister company Geneva Rock in 1989 before transitioning to Sunroc in 1996. He played a central role in 11 major acquisitions and the expansion of countless gravel properties during his career.

“I was given the opportunity to move to Southern Utah to begin building Sunroc,” Russell said. “It’s been a tremendous journey with the company, and I feel privileged to have had a role in building it into what it is today. I am grateful for all of those whom I have worked with and leave with gratitude and confidence that the future of Sunroc is bright and in capable hands.”

Welcoming New Vice Presidents

To help fill the gap left by Russell, Adam Cook is stepping into the role of Vice President of Construction Materials, focused on the Utah and Wyoming markets.

“I am honored to continue my growth with this storied company,” Adam said. “Supplying building materials and services is not all we do; we are building communities with and through the people we interact with. This is what gets me truly excited to expand my role.”

Additionally, Brent Turpin will assume the position of Vice President of Idaho, overseeing both construction services and materials in the state.

“The potential for growth and innovation in Idaho is enormous, and I’m excited to help drive our business in the area,” Brent said. “Our talented team has been and will continue to be the driving force behind our success, and I can’t wait to get to work.”

Mark Wimmer will continue to lead as Vice President of Construction Services to round out the vice presidents at Sunroc.

These adjustments, which took place at the start of the year, are crucial to ensure Sunroc will be poised for even greater innovation, efficiency, and success in each of its markets.

Please join us in congratulating Adam and Brent on their new roles and in celebrating Russell’s remarkable career of Building a Better Community
