Sunroc was contracted by BYU to demo the existing pool structure and build out the foundation for the new pools inside the Richards building. The new pool design inside the Richards facility will be almost 50% larger in water capacity and allows for much greater flexibility. The new pool incorporates a moveable, floating platform between the diving and swimming areas. At 42-yards long by 25-yards wide, the pool also allows for more flexible training as well as intramural activities.

Additionally, Sunroc will be excavating to add a second smaller pool that can be used for a variety of activities.

Construction of the new pools started in Fall 2017 and continued throughout Summer 2018.
